Compatibility/Aggression: So far I have not encountered many pets I did not immediately fall in love with, and who did not like me. However, if the pets do not seem comfortable with me, or vice versa, I reserve the right to politely decline to take an assignment. If this happens, I will notify the client during the initial meet and greet.
Payment: Payment is due in full before or on the first visit. I accept cash, checks or PayPal. Please make checks payable to Shelly Arnold and PayPal info will be sent to you privately if you choose this option. If payment is not made in advance and an extra trip is needed to pick up payment, an additional $25 fee will be added to balance. Recurring clients are encouraged to pay in advance but may arrange a billing schedule with me after the initial few visits.
Cancellation/Early Returns: While I understand that plans can change at the last moment and any trip may be cut short, I do require at least 24 hour notice for all cancellations, including early returns from a trip. I reserve the right to charge for any visits cancelled without at least 24 hour notice. Please notify me by phone/text/email if your plans change as soon as you know to help me better serve you and your pets to avoid being charged.
Holiday Fee: A $10 fee will be added per day for pet sitting and boarding services for the following holidays: New Years Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
Holiday Cancellations: With the exception of severe weather, life threatening emergencies or a death in the family, any cancellations prior to a major holiday; ie: Christmas day, New Years Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day and Thanksgiving with less than a four day notice will result in 50% of the total invoice for scheduled pet care to be paid. I request your understanding that holiday travel is peak service time for pet care.
Late Payment Fees: Please be advised that while I am very willing to work with you and to accommodate various methods of payment, any payment received later than two weeks after the date of the last visit will be subject to $25 late surcharge. A finance charge of 25% per month will be added to unpaid balances after 30 days. A handling fee of $25 will be charged on all returned checks. No new appointments may be scheduled while the fees remain unpaid
Key Return Policy:
Key will be kept on file in a secure lock box for future visits. If you request the key to be returned, there will be a $25 fee added to the balance.
Dogs must be current on all shots and provide shot records before checking in. This includes bordetella. Dogs must be kennel trained as they will be in kennels during nap and bed times. If you have a dog friendly pet, then you have the option to include them in group play with other doggie guests. If they are not, then they will have separate play times. Please bring dog's food and any medications. Blankets and toys are welcome to keep in their kennel to remind them of home.
